Tenancy can be a legally complex matter, whether you are the landlord or the tenant. For example, setting up a tenancy has multiple statutory requirements that it must meet, such as safety standards, rights to rent, and other obligations, such as those under the UK Landlord & Tenant Act 1985.

After successfully renting out a property, however, disputes can still occur between landlords and tenants in a residential property, including:
