Conveyancing & Property
Residential and Commercial

What is Conveyancing?

Conveyancing refers to the ‘legal transfer’ of property, such as property sale or remortgage. The conveyancing process can be extremely complex, including multiple stages of drafting contracts, surveying the property, dealing with land registry, and completing the necessary paperwork. Most often, a conveyancer service provider–such as solicitors like us or Licensed Conveyancers– can help you complete the steps, so that you can successfully move into the new property.

What is the difference between residential and commercial Conveyancing?

While both residential and commercial Conveyancing require legal steps, the primary difference comes from the type of property being transferred. Straightforwardly, residential conveyancing includes buying and selling homes for residence. Commercial conveyancing tends to involve leasehold properties bought or sold for business uses, such as shops or offices, whereas residential property owners deal with both freehold and leasehold properties.

In responses to the Government’s recent consultation on firing and rehiring practices, ACAS has recently published new guidance on employer’s responsibilities when making changes to employment contracts.

How can Juris Matrix Solicitors help?

Conveyancing, as mentioned above, can be extremely time consuming and complex. Furthermore, it will likely be one of the most expensive transactions of your lifetime. Therefore, it is important that you have professionals that can help you through the process.

Although licensed conveyors can be equally effective in administrative tasks, our solicitors also possess professional knowledge on UK’s property law. When problems such as taxation issues occur, we can make sure it is legally resolved. We can also help arrange and draft the contracts between you and the seller/buyer, and conduct necessary searches on the property. Once completed, we will also prepare a completion statement, and properly register your property on the Land Registry.

If it is a commercial conveyancing aid that you need, additional issues such as lease agreements can make the transactions a bit more complex. However, we can ensure that every process of the agreement is properly conducted, based on the currently required Commercial Property Standard Enquiry forms (CPSEs).
